A total of eight new CFOs at multinationals in Asia and the US were announced yesterday, including McAfee, Sapient and LogicaCMG.
McAfee, known for the virus-protection software that protects many people's desktops, has appointed Eric Brown as its new CFO and executive vice president. Brown previously served as president and CFO of Microstrategy.
Business technology company Sapient announced it has appointed Scott Krenz, who used to be at EDS, as its new CFO in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Other new CFOs in the US include Joshua Feldman at Hartville Group, who moves from PIE Mutual Insurance, Scott Hildebrandt at Planar Systems, who was previously CFO at Merant Software, Curtis Smith at Advanced Marketing Services, who moves from Road Runner Sports, and Dave Morgan at MAPICS who has been made the company's interim CFO while it searches for a permanent head of finance.
Across the Pacific Ocean in China, Mark Qiu has resigned from overseas oil company CNOOC, citing personal reasons. Qiu was credited with turning the oil company around and his departure coincided with a 4.8% fall in the company's stock price, though much of this may be due to recent sell-off of blue-chip Chinese companies.
