Brady Corporation, the software solutions and speciality materials manufacturer, has promoted Barbara Bolens to the role of treasurer, after spending nine years as assistant treasurer. She will have complete responsibility for treasury functions, including risk management.
Bolens succeeds Donald Rearic, who retires in January 2006 but in the meantime will serve as senior vice president for finance and assistant company secretary.
Brady CFO David Mathieson says: ?I would like to thank Don Rearic for his sterling service to date and for preparing and coaching such a fine candidate as Barb.?
Bolens originally joined Brady in 1985 and has held numerous posts, including product manager and manager of financial shared services.
More recently, she led the company's efforts to secure financing for its recent acquisitions of US-based manufacturer EMED and Singapore-based manufacturer ID Technologies.
Acquisitions gave an 18% boost to the company's sales in the fiscal first quarter of 2005. Sales for the quarter rose 31% to $200.4 million.
