Morgan Stanley’s Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners has brought in Goldman Sachs executive Joseph Stecher as a chief investment officer for funds comprised of real estate funds.
Stecher managed real estate funds of funds and separate accounts for institutions and high-net-worth individuals at Goldman. Before that, he spent 16 years at General Motors Asset Management, where he managed $1.5 billion of private equity real estate, invested $5 billion in real estate, and managed more than 33 million square feet of real estate.
