Belgium debate: Belgium proves a bright spot for private banking

Pierre Paul De Schrevel (PPDS) is managing director of Bank Degroof, and head of private banking and marketing. In 1988 he joined Bank Degroof as head of institutional investors. He then moved to the private banking division. Since 1995 he has assumed overall responsibility for the division. He has been a member of the executive committee of the bank since 1994 and was appointed managing director in 1998. |

Etienne de Callataÿ (EDC), is chief economist at Bank Degroof (Brussels). He is also chairman of the Board of Degroof Fund Management Company, the Degroof subsidiary in charge of setting up and managing mutual funds. He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Namur and at the Catholic University of Louvain, and senior Fellow at the Itinera Institute. |
