Euromoney's tenth annual Central & Eastern Europe Company ranking is based on a survey of market analysts at leading banks and research institutes in the region.
Respondents are asked to nominate the top five companies according to each of the following attributes:
· Most convincing and coherent strategy
· Best system of corporate governance
· Most accessible senior management
· Most transparent financial accounts
· Best for shareholder value
· Most useful and informative website
· Most improved performance
· Best newly listed
Votes are then aggregated (with the exception of ‘Most improved’ and ‘Best newly listed’) to create a table of ‘Overall best managed companies in Central & Eastern Europe’. This table is then cut by category, country and industry sector.
Points are awarded on the scale of 5:4:3:2:1 for nominations for 1st, 2nd, 3rd , 4th and 5th place respectively. Companies’ results are expressed as a percentage of total points received in each category, together with the number of companies that received points in each category.
In 2014 we received votes from 25 analysts for 53 different companies.
