Prime Brokerage roundtable: The race to keep up with the clients

Aisling O'Reilly (AO’R) joined Gartmore in 2003 as head of derivatives in the investment division. Her primary responsibility is advising fund managers on derivative-based portfolio management strategies for hedging and investment purposes.
Jesper Bang (JB) is the head of prime brokerage at Dresdner Kleinwort where he has built a prime brokerage cross-margining platform, which enables clients to trade most asset classes on one consolidated platform. Jesper has 10 years’ experience in prime brokerage.
Michael Brian (MB) is a director in Barclays Capital’s prime services team and responsible for sales and service across Europe. He joined Barclays Capital in May 2003 from Merrill Lynch, where he was head of sales for equity finance and prime brokerage in Europe.
Charles Tritton (CT) is head of alternative investments at New Star, which has $1.75 billion in hedge fund assets. He manages the multi strategy fund and the hedge fund business. He has 18 years’ experience in absolute return and equity derivatives and has traded equity long/short, equity relative value, convertible bond arbitrage, and merger arbitrage.
Donald Pepper (DP) is a managing director of Merrill Lynch International and co-head of global markets financing and services sales for Merrill Lynch in EMEA. Donald was previously at Goldman Sachs. He is a CFA charterholder.
Claude Brown (CB) is a partner in the derivatives group of Clifford Chance LLP. He specializes in advising prime brokers on documentation, regulation and legal and counterparty risk management techniques. He has been involved in producing prime brokerage documentation, cross margining and netting arrangements.
Anthony Lombardi (AL) works for Man Investments as a prime brokerage relationship manager in New York. Prior to working at Man, Anthony worked in prime brokerage for Bear Stearns for three years.
