In the past 12 months SBC has lead-managed 201 Euro/global public issues, giving it one of the largest volumes in the business - a weighted volume (taking account of joint books) of $38.5 billion. Size aside, the bank has also done extremely well at bringing a diversity of credits to the market in a variety of currencies. The credit spectrum ranged from AAA down to several unrated transactions and issues in 14 currencies were underwritten, with particular emphasis on Europe. Major deals during the year included a $2 billion, five-year fixed-rate bond for the UK; a $6 billion, five-year Euro FRN for the United Mexican States; a $1 billion World Bank 10-year fixed-rate global; and a five-year fixed-rate $1 billion deal for the Russian Federation.
Top tier Merrill Lynch Merrill Lynch has sought to introduce new issuers and new currencies to the market and to utilize new products. In the past 12 months it lead-managed 202 Euro/global transactions with aggregate volume of $37.46 billion in 16 currencies. The borrowers came from 39 different countries.
Top tier JP Morgan JP Morgan has been a market leader in a wide range of markets in the past year, including global bonds, Eurodollar and multi-currency benchmark issues and floating-rate notes for sovereigns, supranationals, investment grade corporates and emerging market sovereign and corporate issuers.
