The state non-profit organization "Investment-Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan" was established in compliance with the Regulation No 428 of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers dated 17 November 2004, within the framework of the Republican Program for Development of Innovation Activities in the Republic of Tatarstan 2004–2010.
The mission of the Investment-Venture Fund is the improvement of the innovation potential in the Republic of Tatarstan, the development of science-based industries and implementation of new sophisticated technologies, formation of new approaches in developing the investment climate in the Republic, creation of favourable conditions for increasing the number of the venture capital enterprises, and for supporting SMEs.

Construction of the oil-extracting factory with an annual processing capacity of 300,000 tons of oil
Testing and launching the light multi-purpose helicopter AKTAI
Establishment of a rabbit-breeding farm
Production of the modular complete transforming stations 2BKTP
Reconstruction and modernization of the plant JSC Tatkhimpharmpreparaty
Setting up a plastic waste-processing facility
In 2005 the Foundation for Assistance and Development of Venture Investments in Small-size Scientific and Technological Enterprises was established in the Republic of Tatarstan.
