Without a doubt, the bank that best punches above its weight in cash management is SEB. Ranked ninth in terms of global scale – and not even largest in its Nordic backyard – SEB runs Citi a close second for overall quality of service. SEB tops the rankings for commitment to cash management, industry expertise, quality of personnel, technical support and advice, quality of electronic banking security, value dating and cut-off times, personalized client service, in-country client service and ability to send bulk file payments regionally or globally.

Although the bank’s heartland is the Baltic and Nordic regions as well as Russia, Poland, Ukraine and Germany, its alliance with ING gives it an effective network in 27 European countries. It also has alliances globally – such as one with China Merchant Bank – to be able to meet the needs of its clients. SEB has a long history in the Nordic region and 85% of the top companies in the region are SEB customers.
