Unbundling debate: The price of progress

Carl James (CJ) is global head of trading for equities and derivatives at Henderson Global Investors. He has responsibility for managing a team of nine traders, who execute orders in all global markets.
Richard Phillipson (RP) leads the investment practice at Investit. He has conducted research into how asset managers conduct research and the impact of unbundling legislation, and has worked on projects benchmarking the value-add of dealing teams.
James Stewart (JS) is the chief operating officer for investment at Schroder Investment Management and was a member of the joint IMA/NAPF working party on commission disclosure and unbundling.
Tim Thomas (TT) joined Morley Fund Management as head of equities in September 2005. Tim’s primary focus is to ensure that Morley’s equity investment process is of a high quality across all equity desks and delivers strong performance for Morley's clients.
Emad Morrar (EM) is a managing director of execution services at Lehman Brothers. He is responsible for a team that advises investment managers and pension funds on their portfolio management and execution activities. Emad is Lehman’s chief business driver of unbundling strategy.

John Quaile (JQ) is a managing director and head of account management at Citigroup Global Markets Limited in London. He is responsible for handling Citigroup’s response to the debate on bundled brokerage and soft commission arrangements.
Mel Stimpson (MS) is global head of equity trading at Standard Life Investments (SLI). He is responsible for all equity and equity derivative trading in SLI's three major offices in Edinburgh, Boston and Hong Kong. Mel has overseen the introduction of a global CSA based unbundling solution at SLI.
Justyn Trenner (JT) has managed ClientKnowledge since its inception in 1993. ClientKnowledge has developed original business concepts and working models for customers, assisting in business development, client strategy and performance analytics.
