Visitors to ANZ cash machines in Australia through January were greeted with a picture of a triumphant tennis star Novak Djokovic, arms pumped and grin broad. Next to his image, a headline says: “40 Degrees. 5 Sets. Keep Moving.”
This no doubt seemed a pretty safe bit of branding for ANZ: Djokovic has won the Australian Open, which takes place in Melbourne each January, six times.
It didn’t look quite so well-timed when Djokovic was dumped out in the second round by a little-known Uzbek called Denis Istomin ranked 117th in the world, just a few days into the two-week tournament.
It was 40 degrees, it took 5 sets, and Djokovic kept moving – home.
