Tolga Egemen (TE) has been an executive vice-president at Garanti Bank since October 2000. His responsibilities include financial institutions and corporate banking. He is also on the board of directors of Garanti Securities. He worked at Interbank before joining Garanti in 1996. He has 18 years’ banking experience and has a BSc in mechanical engineering from Middle East Technical University.

Pelin Yenigün Dilek (PYD) is chief economist in the economic research department at Garanti Bank. She previously worked at Unido in Vienna, the Industrial Development Bank of Turkey and Global Securities in Istanbul, before joining Garanti in 2006. She has degrees from Bogazici University (Istanbul), the University of Kent (UK) and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium).

Tolga Tuglular (TT) is a managing director at JPMorgan in London, where he co-heads EM sales & derivatives marketing, DCM and structuring groups. The group has multi-asset coverage mandate and is responsible for delivering all market-related products to clients in CEEMEA and Latin America. Previously he spent five years managing JPMorgan’s Turkey & Russia local markets sales and trading businesses. He joined JPMorgan in 1996 and is a graduate of Bogazici University in Istanbul.

Gulcin Orgun (GO) is a director in the financial institutions group at Fitch Ratings. Her primary area of responsibility is banking. She joined Fitch Ratings in March 2001, having begun her banking career in Turkey’s central bank in 1984. She has degrees in economics from Bosphorus University, Istanbul.

Michael Davey (MD) was appointed as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s first country director for Turkey in 2009, having immediately previously been director for Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus. Before joining the EBRD in 1993 he worked with the Asian Development Bank as a financial sector specialist. He started his banking career with commercial and investment banks in New Zealand. He has an honours degree in business studies from Massey University in New Zealand.

Ebru Sonbul Iskender (ESI) is department head, Supervision IV, at Turkey’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA).

Ebru Sonbul Iskender (ESI) is department head, Supervision IV, at Turkey’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA). Her department is responsible for the macro analysis of the Turkish banking industry and supervision of non-bank financial companies. She began her career as a bank auditor at the under-secretariat of the Turkish treasury after graduating in business administration at Ankara University. She joined the BRSA when it was established in 2008.
