RBC Capital Markets has hired Patrick Bauné as head of corporate and institutional FX sales, Europe, and corporate FX sales, Asia.
Bauné will be based in London and report to Avril Pomper, head of fixed income and currencies and financial products sales, Europe.
Bauné joins RBC from French asset management boutique Tikehau Capital. Before Tikehau, Bauné was at Merrill Lynch, where he was global co-head of issuer clients group. Before that, he was at Goldman Sachs as co-head of FX sales.
Harry Samuel, RBC’s global co-head of fixed income and currencies, says: “Patrick’s breadth of experience in FX strategy and sales will play a significant role in further developing our integrated client offering across corporate and institutional FX sales. In parallel with our recent expansion of European corporate coverage from an investment banking perspective, this is an area where we see continued scope for growth.”
