Everyone at Euromoney is extremely humbled by and proud of the support that this hugely deserving project has received from our friends in the financial markets.
Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence dinner in London in July was attended by over 500 leading bankers from all corners of the world.
It was an evening with a lot of fun, as well as an opportunity to recognize the achievements of many fantastic firms and individuals in the financial markets.
The evening was made all the more special by the hugely generous donations made by banks and bankers to our charity for 2013, Action Against Cancer, the results of which are published below.
Action Against Cancer is a charity run by a brilliant oncologist, Professor Justin Stebbing. The £781,900 raised by our friends in the market will make a huge difference to his groundbreaking research, which we hope will eventually provide a cost-effective, global treatment for a broad range of cancers.
The cause is very special to all of us at Euromoney – it was a charity close to the heart of our former chairman, Padraic Fallon, who died of cancer last year.
Our thanks to every company and individual who gave so generously at the dinner.
