Sir Patrick founded Euromoney magazine in 1969. Over the next 45 years, his idea to launch a publication to reflect the growth in global capital flows has flourished alongside the development of banking and capital markets. Or, as Sir Patrick himself has put it: "Our little acorn grew into the oak it is today." In 2014, Euromoney Institutional Investor is a thriving online information and events group. It has a market capitalization of £1.7 billion and employs 2,500 people across the globe.
Sir Patrick continues to play an active role in the development of our company, both as a member of our board and as an invaluable adviser to executives and editors alike.
On behalf of the countless people he has mentored and encouraged over the years, the current and past employees of Euromoney, and the millions and millions of people that have read or subscribed to one of our magazines, websites or books, attended one of our events, or used the data we produce to improve their business over the past 45 years, we wish Sir Patrick a very happy 90th birthday.
