Middle East Survey 2014: Methodology

Euromoney’s annual Middle East survey was conducted between 15th May and 27th June.

The survey is split into two sections:

Middle East Research - The survey is sent out to investors and end-users of Middle East research products to nominate their best providers.

Best Managed Companies in the Middle East - The companies section is sent to bank analysts and equity investors who give their opinions on which companies they think are the best by the individual company sectors.

Best Middle East Research House:

Respondents are asked to nominate their top 3 research providers in order of quality by research sector. Research providers receive 4 points for a first placed nomination, 3 points for a second place nomination and 2 points for a third place nomination. These points are then totalled to give an overall score.

Best Managed Companies in the Middle East:

Respondents are asked to nominate their top 3 Middle Eastern companies in order of quality by each company sector. Companies receive 4 points for a first placed nomination, 3 points for a second place nomination and 2 points for a third place nomination. These points are then totalled to give an overall score.
