In this year's Asian brokers' survey, Euromoney polled institutional investors worldwide. We asked them to nominate three preferred brokerage firms providing equity research and execution services in individual countries and industry sectors. Respondents also named leading strategists and analysts in the region.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka were included in our survey but did not receive enough votes for publication. The same applies to the following industry sectors: breweries, construction, leisure, media, small caps and textiles.
We received 42 replies. Scores were awarded on a sliding scale of 4:3:2 and were not weighted according to size of institution.
