A quick look through the other categories in this year's internet awards reveals a list of participating banks including JPMorgan, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Scotland, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, and plenty more. All of these are good loans houses. None of them thought they had a loans website that was good enough to be considered for this award. Clearly, this area is neglected online.
Banc of America Securities, though, offers an excellent website, and it wins this award for the second year in a row. The loans site is part of the its overall web offering that addresses different capital markets products, and has over 10,000 users. There are 3,500 active users on the syndicated finance section, which caters to investors and issuers.
Investors are able to access the bank's daily axe sheet to view the bank's available loans. The site offers comprehensive monthly and weekly reports generated by a dedicated syndicated finance group of 10 people. The bank is also one of four entities that have a leveraged loan index that investors can use as a benchmark.
Since winning this award last year Banc of America Securities has added some new features.
