Banc of America Securities wins the loans award for the third consecutive year for its comprehensive loans price discovery and analytics platform.
Although the platform used to allow online trading, the bank has since removed it because of low client demand. It might reintroduce this capability later if demand develops.
The bank’s loan prices are still available on the site for clients to view trading levels. The site also provides clients with a broad range of information on the high-grade, high-yield and secondary loan market.
The homepage shows users a forward calendar for high-yield and high-grade loans coming to market that is collected from third parties and the bank’s own portfolio management team. There is also a snapshot of year-to-date closed volumes for both markets.
The homepage also shows the bank’s most recent weekly loan market update, which can be expanded to view the entire report. All of the bank’s loan research is available on the site. Cross-market comparison data and charts are available to view the relative value of loans with bonds and credit default swaps, as does Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s site.
BofA’s site also provides access to the bank’s high-yield loan index data and analytics.
