Overview
Credit Suisse Private Banking (London) provides bespoke investment management services for UHNW clients that can deviate significantly from the traditional approach to managing their assets. We these clients offer our Core Satellite + (“plus”) strategy. This is a core and satellite concept but is tweaked to appeal to clients with an absolute returns focus, an international outlook and an investment horizon of over five years. Diversification is fundamental to this approach. The core is a long only equity or balanced portfolio, while the satellites are specialist sub-portfolios of asset classes with low correlations to the core and each other. The combination of these components is crafted to reduce the volatility of returns through time with minimal impact on expected returns. There is no currency hedging and no consideration given to tax circumstances - this is an uncompromising investment returns driven portfolio.
Why do we favour this approach?
Firstly, we believe equity markets could be range bound for the rest of this decade. Traditional buy and hold or relative to benchmark investment strategies may earn poor returns.
