CFOs at three north American technology and pharmaceutical companies have resigned. Eric Brown has resigned from his position as CFO of MicroStrategy, the US business intelligence software maker, in order to take up the same post at McAfee, the system security products manufacturer. Arthur Locke, a member of the MicroStrategy finance team, will be promoted in his place.
Canadian company Inex Pharmaceuticals has also seen its CFO, Jeff Charpentier, resign. Ian Mortimer will be promoted in order to replace him. The company is cutting 103 jobs as part of a restructuring programme, triggered by a major setback in the development of one of its key cancer drugs, Marqibo.
Meanwhile at Memory Pharmaceuticals, the US biotechnology company, CFO Dennis Keane has resigned in order to spend more time with his family. Joseph Donabauer, controller and principal accounting officer, will take over as CFO until a successor is appointed.
