New CFOs at Juniper Networks, Mercury Air Group and Glowpoint

Robert Dykes has been appointed CFO at Juniper Networks, the US networking and security solutions provider. Dykes, who begins his new job at the start of next year, joins the company from Flextronics, the world's largest outsource manufacturer. Juniper Networks CEO Scott Kriens says that Dykes' financial acumen, strategic insight and strong operational background will make him an asset to the company.

Meanwhile at Mercury Air Group, the US airline services provider, Kent Rosenthal steps in to replace Robert Schlax as CFO. Rosenthal previously worked at Anixter Pentacon, the speciality wire and cable products distributor, where he was vice president of finance. Before that he held various finance management positions at fiber manufacturer Allied Signal.

And finally, Glowpoint, the US video communications service provider, has named Rod Dorsey as its new CFO. Dorsey's track record as a CFO is impressive. At consulting firm Scient he negotiated the sale of a majority of the company's assets, while as CFO of Predictive Systems he raised more than $200 million in cash through initial and follow-on public offerings and managed acquisitions that generated over $25 million in ongoing revenue.
