Best bank
Banco de Crédito del Perú
Best debt house
Citigroup
Despite strong competition from BBVA?s Banco Continental, Banco de Crédito del Perú remains the best bank in Peru. Its $6.7 billion of assets dwarf Continental?s $3.6 billion, and its net income of $89 million is easily the largest in the banking system.
In the debt markets, Peru issued two bonds over the past year: a 30-year deal in November through JPMorgan, and a 12-year deal in April through Citigroup. JPMorgan seems to have lost the hold it had held on Peruvian sovereign mandates.
