CFO changes are underway in sectors as diverse as mining, communications and consulting.
Swedish mining company Lundin Mining Corporation has appointed Anders Haker as CFO with immediate effect. Haker began his career 18 years ago at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Stockholm as an auditor before joining Trelleborg Group, a large industrial group as head of accounting of Trelleborg Finance and subsequently becoming financial controller. Most recently, Haker was CFO of the Boliden group in Toronto and Stockholm.
Vocera Communications, a wireless communication company providing instant voice communication for mobile personnel, has announced that Martin Silver has joined the company as CFO.
Julie Shimer, CEO of Vocera Communications, said: "With more than 15 years experience as the chief financial officer at pre-IPO and publicly traded high-tech companies, Silver has a proven track record in overseeing financial operations, building investor relations, managing cash, and achieving rapid growth, which will be critical as we transition from a start-up to a fast-growing enterprise."
Sari Kaikkonen has been appointed CFO of Nordic consulting company the Rambøll Group with effect from August 1 2005. The appointment is a promotion for the 38 year-old Kaikkonen who is currently FD of Ramboll Finland.
