Masisa’s investment plan adds over US$220 Mn
Source: Diario Financiero With an investment plan that involves the construction of two new MDF panel plants in Chile and Brazil, worth US$162 million, and other investments and acquisitions worth US$60 million, Masisa is to make a capital increase in early September. The company’s strategies to attract investors are assorted. Merged with Forestal Terranova in May this year, Masisa has become a vertically-integrated Latin American company with 244 thousand hectares of plantations in Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela.
Masisa is Latin America’s biggest wooden panel producer, with an installed capacity of 2.3 million cubic meters a year, which represents nearly 19% of the region’s installed capacity.
