The positive outlook for companies listed in the Colombia Stock Exchange (BVC) attracted the appetite of local and foreign investors. The latest spent almost 2.6 bn pesos in the purchase of variable income titles, through the so-called Foreign Investment Funds. According to the Colombian securities and exchange commission Superintendencia de Valores, until October 2005, foreign investment in the acquisition of public debt bonds surpassed 1 bn pesos. In total, foreign resources of 3.6 mn pesos entered the country, the equivalent to a 120.5% hike against the growth registered one year ago, as published by La Republica newspaper.
