Robert Dyrbus, 51, finance director of cigarette maker Imperial Tobacco has picked up a salary package of £1.5 million ? a substantial increase on his £1.3 million.
Other big winners revealed so far this year are Frank D'Amelio, CFO of Lucent Technologies. D'Amelio earned more than $4.8 million in 2004 including a $1.5 million annual incentive award. In 2004, D'Amelio also received options to buy 1 million shares.
Garry McGuire, CFO at telecommunications company Avaya took home nearly $3.7 million last year, including a $657,000 bonus, nearly double the $359,000 he received a year earlier.
And finally, Kronos CFO Paul Lacy earned more than $1.7 million in 2004 at the workforce management group and realized more than $1.2 million from exercising options.
