Lehman to get new Global Head of FX

Lehman Brothers is believed to have poached Richard Gladwin to become its new global head of FX.

Gladwin resigned from his role as managing director, head of FX derivatives at Barclays Capital on April 21, and will make the short walk across Canary Wharf to take up his new job after a three-month gardening leave.

Gladwin will replace Grant Whiteside at Lehman. Whiteside relocated back to the US in January to take up a role in the bank’s mortgage division. In the interim, his shoes have been filled by Kaushik Amin.

Prior to joining Barclays, Gladwin, who has a degree in physics from Oxford University, was at Merrill Lynch and prior to that at Bankers Trust.

Neither Barclays nor Lehman were available for official comment.
