A recent email with the sign-off “Rodrigo de Rato y Figaredo, Managing Director, IMF” said that he had seen the recipient’s name on the IMF’s “Central Computer” in a list of long-overdue unpaid beneficiaries of lotto winnings to the tune of $2.7 million.
He continued fluently: “I wish to inform this because there is a lot of junks mail flying over to internet and some people are using advantage to collect account information from people on internet for fraudulent purpose that is while [sic] your payment will come through ATM visa card system.”
