Many thanks to my friends at Bank of America who sent me in a great guest currency pair this week. Unfortunately, following legal advice, I have been advised that I can’t publish the picture they sent in of the big swinging Dick from the bond market who bears a funny resemblance to the legendary porn start Jon Holmes, aka Johnny Wad.
Obviously we felt that the big swinging Dick was unlikely to sue if we captioned his photo with that moniker – I mean, what would he do, prove that he wasn’t? But Holmes was a rather unsavoury character, so we simply can’t associate such a senior figure with him, even if they do look alike.
Editor's note: One more reason this pair is not featured this week is because the only photos we could find of Holmes wearing any clothing were photos from his 1981 murder trial. He and the other big swinging Dick didn't bear much resemblance in these photos. I think it was the orange jumpsuit.
