Citi lures back Gil
Pritpal Gil has left Lehman Brothers, where he ran FX options globally, to rejoin Citi, which he left back in mid-2001. Gil will head up all of FX trading, including options, in Asia and report to Nadir Mahmud. He is due to start his position, which is a new role and apparently signals an initiative for a broader build-out in Asia by the bank, at the end of Asia. He will be based in Singapore.
ABN Amro lose a star...
Peter Snasdell resigned from ABN Amro hedge fund sales on Tuesday. He is off to BNP Paribas where it is believed he will be working for Miranda Royston. Pete is likely to be sorely missed at ABN Amro, if only for his reported guitar playing at staff parties.
...But gain a salesman
David Pohly, who left Barclays Capital in Singapore earlier in the year, has resurfaced at ABN Amro in the same city.
Casa resurfaces at Crédit Agricole
Crédit Agricole Asset Management has announced that Yves Casa has joined its London office as head of FX trading. Casa has around 20 years’ experience in FX. Before joining CAAM he was a proprietary trader at Calyon.
