Jack Jeffery, the former chief executive of EBS, has taken a senior management role at option pricing specialist SuperDerivatives. In his new position as chief operations officer, Jeffery will lead SuperDerivatives’ management team and oversee the execution of its business strategy. He will be based in London.
As well as his rich experience, Jeffery brings a wealth of contacts to SuperDerivatives. He oversaw the protracted sale of EBS to Icap, where he served as chief executive of electronic broking, transforming it from an effective ‘mutual exchange’ into a for-profit organization. Before EBS, Jeffery held senior roles at Citibank and has served as a member of Bank of England Joint Standing Committee and the US Federal Reserve Bank FX Committee. In his youth, he also worked, like many other talented individuals, at Midland Bank.
Commenting on the hire, David Gershon, president and chief executive of SuperDerivatives, says: “Our accelerated growth over the past year has taken us to the point where we needed an executive of Jack’s stature to drive our continued expansion and execute our business strategy. Jack’s experience, as well as his track record as a formidable business leader in one of the world’s leading banks, is a huge asset for SuperDerivatives and its clients.”
