Market rumours suggest it is one of the few banks around with the budget to hire key personnel it believes will boost its FX business even further. Confirmation of that seems to have come with word that it has hired the well-regarded Philippe Lintern from RBS.
Lintern was at the head of FX complex products trading at RBS, and the bank has confirmed his departure. So far, there there’s no official word from StanChart, but well-informed sources say he has been appointed as the bank’s global co-head of FX options, alongside Fidelis Oruche.
