Cem Yalcinkaya (CY) is the chief executive of Ak Asset Management and has built up the discretionary portfolio management business line to serve institutional and high-net worth/ultra-high-net worth clients. He also set up the structured products business line to launch Turkey’s first capital protected funds and is on the board of directors of the Turkish Institutional Investment Managers Association.

Ufuk Hazirolan (UH) is deputy director general and has responsibility for domestic borrowing and cash management activities at the Turkish Treasury. He was previously responsible for the Treasury’s risk management operations. He is currently working towards a PhD.

Sinan Ülgen (SU) is the founder and managing partner of the Istanbul Economics Consultancy. He is the chairman of the Centre for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (Edam). His research and opinion pieces have been published widely including by the Centre for European Reform, the World Economic Forum, as well as in newspapers such as the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Botan Berker (BB) is the managing director of Fitch Ratings Turkey. She started her career at the central bank in several posts and before joining Fitch was the assistant general manager, foreign relations. She has a PhD from Marmara University.

Bekir Safak (BS) is vice-president of Turkey’s Capital Markets Board. He joined CMB in 1996 and became an expert in 2000. He has a degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a BSc degree from Middle East Technical University.
