Breaking news: Goldman poaches Deutsche banker

One of Deutsche Bank’s most senior emerging markets bankers is joining Goldman Sachs

Dalinc Ariburnu, global head of emerging markets within the global markets division, will join the US bank as a head of fixed income and currencies sales, EMEA, later this year. He will also become a partner at the firm.

Ariburnu will report to Michael Daffey, head of sales, EMEA.

At Deutsche, Ariburnu spearheaded the bank’s growth in Eastern Europe and Latin America, overseeing a number of key hires in Russia and Brazil in particular. His responsibilities will be assumed by Colin Fan, global head of credit trading, and Miles Millard, global head of debt capital markets.
