Walter Allwicher, one of the best press officers in the business, has decided to leave his role as head of media relations at Deutsche Börse/Eurex. Allwicher spent 13 years at the exchange, during which time it grew from a small, regional institution to a global and innovative player. Bank of America has named Cameron Davidson as its global head of currency sales. Davidson, who was formerly head of Asia currency sales, will be based in New York.

The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has proposed exempting certain SFC-authorized open-ended collective investment schemes from having to disclose interests under the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
