Global Investor polled over 300 European equity fund managers and asked them to nominate their three preferred brokerage houses providing research and execution in individual countries and industry sectors. Respondents also nominated leading strategists and analysts in the region.
Four points were then awarded for a first place, three for a second and two points for a third. The overall results are not a compilation of the results in the individual categories, but responses to separate questions.
The survey was conducted in July and August 1999 by Giselle Branch. Global Investor and Euromoney would like to thank all the fund managers who took part in the survey.
